Looking for Love – A reading to help you find the partner of your dreams! Analyzes what problems may have kept you from finding a partner, how to overcome them and what positive steps you can take to find love, what your perfect partner would be like and where and when you should look for them. (6 cards) Example New Relationships - This is a reading on that new and exciting person that has just entered your life. Evaluates how each of you sees each other and the possibilities for the relationship, the positive areas you would share and what problems you might have to overcome, the most likely future of this relationship and what you can do to give it the best possible start. (8 cards) Example Improving Relationships – This spread provides guidance for solving problems and improving relationships with your spouse, lover, friends, family, or co-workers. Analyzes the source of the problem and provides several specific strategies for making progress. Analyzing Alternatives – This spread will help you analyze two alternatives and the choice between them. Looks at where you are now and what has led up to this choice, and where each alternative might lead. Depending on the complexity of the situation, this reading can also be done as a smaller 5-card reading or a larger reading if more than two alternatives are involved. (7-8 cards) Example Wheel of Fortune/Dealing With Change - A very comprehensive reading for assisting you with major life changes. Analyzes what is leaving and entering your life and how best to make use of the energies surrounding change. Can be used to address issues such as graduation, career changes, retirement, empty nests, marriage or divorce, and relocation. (9 cards) Example
Improving Relationships – This spread provides guidance for solving problems and improving relationships with your spouse, lover, friends, family, or co-workers. Analyzes the source of the problem and provides several specific strategies for making progress. (5 cards) Example Removing Obstacles – Have something you want to accomplish but can't figure out how? This spread will help you identify and remove blocks that are in the way and give you ideas for overcoming the obstacles. (7-10 cards) Example
Job Interviews – Got a job interview coming up? This spread will help you prepare by providing specific strategies for giving your best possible interview, and also analyzing the factors working for and against you in getting the job. Customized for your interview. (5 cards) Example Improving your Finances – This spread provides information on how you can best increase your personal wealth, given all the factors operating in your life right now. Looks at your best opportunities for stabilizing and improving your financial situation, and identifies any obstacles that might be in your path and how to overcome them. Depending on your circumstances, the spread will provide insight into your personal strengths and a potential career that makes use of these, or will help you analyze a new career path you have been thinking about and its chances for personal fulfillment and financial success. Destiny Card – A reading that identifies your life purpose, karmic task or spiritual stage of development during this lifetime or this period of your life. (1 card) Example
Elemental Pentacle – In the shape of a five-pointed star, this reading analyzes any situation with respect to the influences of all four elements/suits and the fifth element of Spirit/trumps - each corresponding to one major area of your life. A very balanced reading of all the influences affecting a situation - one of the most useful spreads I have found in 25 years of reading. (5 cards) Example Celtic Cross – A popular 10-card spread you may have seen at tarot fairs or other public readings. This spread is good for looking at the past, present, and future of a question and analyzing the surrounding energies. (10 cards) Example Hourglass - Designed as a New Year's or Winter Solstice reading, this reading is used for evaluating the lessons and events of the past year, letting go of unproductive energies, describing your current situation, and letting you know what energies are coming and what possibilities are contained within the new year. Perfect for year-end goal-setting and planning, or any other time when you are making major decisions. (11 cards) Example
Event Card – One card that represents important influences on your life over the next week, month, year, or for any special event. The card provides direction to your life over that time period and identifies positive activities and any challenges you may be facing. Ask me about discounts for a year's worth of prepaid weekly or monthly cards – like a horoscope only personalized just for you! (1 card) Example Phases of the Moon - A powerful reading for those who feel an affinity to moon energy. The reading starts at the next new moon and covers one full moon cycle. One card is drawn for each moon phase, approximately a week, to give you an idea what to focus on over the next week and what energies you can draw on to accomplish your goals. This reading can be sent in four installments coinciding with each moon phase, to allow the reading to adjust to what has happened during earlier phases. (4 cards) Example Copyright©2000, Roy J. Hourglass - Designed as a New Year's or Winter Solstice reading, this reading is used for evaluating the lessons and events of the past year, letting go of unproductive energies, describing your current situation, and letting you know what energies are coming and what possibilities are contained within the new year. Perfect for year-end goal-setting and planning. (11 cards) Example Horoscope – This is a wonderful spread for birthdays! One card is placed in each of the 12 astrological houses, to provide a very complete look at everything that will be going on in your life over the next full year. You can ask for this spread at any time, but it is especially meaningful if used on your birthday or at any time of the year when you normally assess and set goals for yourself. Astrological correspondences with the cards and houses are described and relationships between different aspects of your life are evaluated. (14 cards) Example
Greeting "Cards" – send a birthday, anniversary, get well, or any type of card to a friend or relative! I will choose one nice tarot card for their special occasion and send them a reading as a present from you. Please indicate the occasion, your name and message, and the recipient's name and e-mail address. Greeting cards are normally sent by e-mail, but can also be sent by regular mail with a color printout of their card. (1 card) Example1 Example2 Birthday Reading - This reading is in the shape of a birthday cake with a candle, and gives your birthday friend a complete reading on their current situation, influences that will be entering their life, and what they can do over the next year to reach their goals. (9 cards) Example The horoscope reading above also makes a great birthday reading! Gift Certificates – Gift certificates for readings can be sent by e-mail or regular mail in any amount you choose, anywhere in the world. Just use the regular order form and indicate the amount, your name and message, and the recipient's name and address. (any size)
Every question and client is unique, and you may not find a spread that exactly addresses your situation. Custom spreads can be developed for no extra cost to specifically address your particular set of issues and circumstances. The size and complexity of the reading is your choice – I recommend you choose a mini-reading if the question is fairly simple, or choose a standard or large reading if there are many considerations and complications to your situation, if there are more than two alternatives, or for analyzing several interrelated questions. You can choose any size reading that you want, but at your request I will advise you on the size and design that I think would be most appropriate. To be conscious of your budget, I will choose the smallest size that I think will give you a complete answer to your question, normally from 3-10 cards. If you would like a custom reading, send me an e-mail before filling out the order form, and let me know your question or situation and any circumstances surrounding it that would help me design a custom spread for you. Also please give me a sense of your preferred price range. I will send you back my recommendations on the design. Once we have agreed on the layout and price, fill out the order form as usual.
All readings are priced by the number of cards in the reading, whether they are regular readings, custom-designed readings, or gifts. Reading prices are based on $5 per card. After many years of doing written readings, this the best approach I have come up with to reflect the time and care that is put into each one. Many readings can be made larger or smaller, so please don't feel constrained by the sizes listed. If you would like to modify a listed reading to a different size/price, just send me an e-mail and we'll work it out. One thing I have noticed over the years is that many clients believe that larger readings are better - yet often larger readings can provide so much information that they are difficult to process and fully evaluate. Smaller readings can often provide the same information in a more concise, direct, and to the point format. If in doubt, you can always start with a small reading to focus the issue, then explore additional areas you might be interested in. All prices are in US Dollars.
